A Quick Share

Just wanted to share with you all something else I had the chance to do over the weekend and that was to spend some time in my studio myself.  What a rare opportunity that has been these days!  I felt like a real newbie I tell you, it took me quite a while just to acclimate myself to my surroundings and figure things out again.  But before long that old feeling came back and I was loosing myself in my work and loosing all track of time.  Ha!  I loved it!
Anyway, that's not to say that I got a whole lot accomplished.  But I was able to make three cards.  One I put in it's envelope and mailed off before taking a picture of it, don't know what I was thinking.  Except that I was ashamed of myself for taking so long in getting it out to its recipient!  So you won't be seeing that one.
Here's one for you though:
(Remember you can click on the picture to make it larger.)
All elements are from Papertrey Ink.  Hawaiin Shores blue cardstock and the patterned paper is from their Funky Town collection-love that one!   The stamp set is Fly Away it's a mini stamp set-just $5 what a bargain!  The co-ordinating die I got to go with it wasn't much either and I really like the PTI dies, they are so easy to use and they work with any die cut machine.  The sentiment is from one of the Button Bit sets, the plane is draggin some bakers twine behind it and it carries through on the inside of the card and and it's attached to a banner that says Happy Birthday.  That is part of the Fly Away set too.
Next up is from another mini stamp set Boy Basice Mini Frog Hop.  I got this set just 'cuz I loved the frog.
Patterned paper from Green Boutique, cardstock is Green Leaf both Papertrey.  Wish the pictures were clearer, don't know what was going on with my photo skills that day.  Anyway, love the little frog.  After I stamped him on the die cut image I added google eyes for instant personality!  Added the tongue and flies on the paper, plopped him on a couple of layered lilly pads and voila!  The sentiment is from this same set too.
I just wanted to use this set because I hadn't inked it up once since purchasing it and it was just crying out to me to be used.  I am ashamed to admit that I have several like that, but I will be rectifying that soon.  Promise.
I've also got to work on a good way to photograph my crafty things so they look good in pictures!
That's all for now.  Happy Hump Day!
*Updated to add-I LOVE to see some Bloggy like, so please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here.  And if you really like me, or even if you are just mildly interested why not follow me and see what I'm up to from time to time?  Who knows, you might even get to know me and like me or at the very least you could see something you might like.

  2. I look when I remember or when my wonderful husband tells me that you've updated, since he checks it pretty much daily :+) He likes being able to laugh at his MiL's funny stories, though we haven't seen a dream story lately or a sleep alking- why not?!
